Tranquil Tulips #FF0004

This card screams Spring to me. I love flowers and thought I would enter a new challenge that a few stamping friends have put together, Festive Friday Challenge, a Papercrafting Challenge. The challenges are twice a month and you can earn points for entering a challenge that then can be redeemed for Stampin' Up! product. How great is that?!!
I am fortunate to be a part of a group of ladies that crochet and knit items for charity, as well as members of our church that are going through a difficult time. I made this card to go along with a crocheted Lapghan, someone special will be receiving soon.
I hope you are having a lovely spring. Here, in Tennessee, we had a few warm days and then we were back to the cooler temperatures. The Forsythia is blooming, a sure harbinger of spring!

Here, with a matching envelope.

For this challenge, #FF0004, I used Stampin' Up! Watercolor Paper for my background, then stamped these cute Tulips. The stamp set, Tranquil Tulips, is a Hostess set from the Stampin' Up! 2017-2018 Annual Catalog. I can see myself getting a lot of mileage from this stamp set, it is a keeper. The sentiment is from Beautiful Day stamp set.

Birthday Card-In-A-Box

I made this sweet Card-In-A-Box for a dear friend's birthday. She loves the color blue and she loves lots of bling. Since I am not a glitter girl, I chose to use the Sweet Soiree Specialty DSP. It has a beautiful blue background and lots of bling with the silver foil accents, just gorgeous. The Card-In-A-Box is the perfect card to sit on your desk and enjoy. The Bouquet Bunch Framelits were used for the beautiful flowers and silver foil leaves. Thanks for stopping by, please leave me a comment!

At Home With You

Doesn't this door make you think warm and cozy? You just want to open the door and see what's inside! I wanted a rustic, warm wood tone for the door. I created it with markers, sponging and a blender pen. The little windows die is adorable, just the right touch.
When I first saw this stamp set, I knew I would have to have it. It looks very similar to my own front door, urns with evergreens and all! Hope you like my rustic Christmas door. Thanks for stopping by, leave me a comment!

Trim Your Stocking

These stockings are so much fun to make, they are addictive! On this one, I left the top popped up and punched a hole to hold the tinsel ribbon. Now, this can hang on my Christmas tree. I can't wait to make more stockings. The back pillow box is just the right size to hold a gift card. I love to wrap gifts and have tried to avoid gift cards in the past. But, my family might be getting some gift cards this year!!! Thanks for stopping by, please leave me a comment!

Painted Harvest - Gather

For today's card, I used the beautiful stamp set, Painted Harvest. This set is a 2-step stamp set, so that automatically gives you an added dimension of color. Along with the Sunflower, it has two beautiful leaves (one has a coordinating punch, yay!) and several nice sentiments. I love those sets that have a variety of uses.
I love Sunflowers and had an unexpected surprise this year in one of my flower pots! We have a lot of Finches in our area and each year I plant Zinnias for them, that I start from seed. I have a large window in my studio and have all my plantings on the patio below, so I have a great view!
We feed the birds Black-oil Sunflower seeds. A bird must have dropped some of the Sunflower Seeds into my Zinnia flower pot. It was fun watching these Sunflowers grow to more than 5' tall. The male and female Goldfinch pluck the petals on the Zinnia's and Sunflowers and spend hours in my flower garden. Truly, a blessing!
This is one of my top five favorite stamp sets/bundles from the new Holiday catalog! Give it a try, you will love this set, too! Thanks for stopping by, please leave me a comment!
