My Favorite Season - Pals September Blog Hop

Welcome to the Pals Blog Hop for September 2016. We are thankful you stopped by to take a look at our new 2016 Blog Hop monthly themes.  This month our projects represent our favorite year end Season. It may be Autumn, Winter, Halloween, Thanksgiving or Christmas (and maybe even a combination!) We hope to provide you with lots of ideas and that you enjoy our creations.
You may just be starting the Blog Hop or may have come from the previous link from the Line-up on the Pals Blog Hop listing shown below.  The full lineup will help you move along from blog to blog so you may see all the projects.

Kraft Rope Trim with Red Mini Jingle Bells

My favorite season, without any question is Christmas! I created a homespun (comfy, cozy) Christmas card. The background was painted using Stampin' Up! watercolor paper, five ink pad colors, a paint brush and water. Water droplets were flecked on, using my fingers. This is so relaxing and fun to see it come to life. The edges were sponged with a variety of brown colors. The pine branches and pinecones were stamped around the outer edges, then spritzed with water. Noel was stamped in Early Espresso ink, then added Wink of Stella (clear) on top, for a bit of S-P-A-R-K-L-E. A pretty, red plaid paper from the Warmth & Cheer DSP stack was used on the left edge and the envelope flap. The bow and pine spray were die cut from the Pretty Pines Thinlits, sponged a bit. A bow was tied around the top layer with the new Kraft Rope Trim. Red mini jingle bells (they are so cute!) were added to the rope strands. This layer was popped up with Dimensionals on an Early Espresso card base.

I have been known to play Christmas music year 'round! It is a time when our family gathers to spend time together. It involves lots of food (and more time on the Elliptical!). Most importantly, a time to celebrate Christ's birth. I hope you like my homespun card, please leave me a comment!
Thanks for visiting. To continue with the hop, please refer to the Blog Hop Line-up below. We hope to see you on next month’s Pals Blog Hop!

Ready To Pop

Today, I made a cute treat for my daughter. She is expecting her first child soon. This is the first time for me to use the Popcorn Box Thinlits. I was thrilled! I used Tip Top Taupe and Very Vanilla, what a classic color combination. The sentiment was in Mint Macaron. All the colors she is using in her baby nursery. I filled this with Salt Water Taffy (one of her favorites)! It fit perfectly! This is such a cute box that you could make for most any theme or occasion. Please leave me a comment!

Detailed Floral Box & Card

Today, I made a sweet little box and card using the Detailed Floral Thinlits die. This die is so beautiful, all you need is a sentiment. I used Tempting Turquoise on Whisper White with a Tangerine Tango sentiment. Wow, these colors pop! The open box holds three Ghiradelli Chocolate Squares, yummy!
